Sana’a – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:The Yemeni Armed Forces announced today, Wednesday, the targeting of the Saudi oil ship “Wafa” with a number of ballistic missiles, confirming that the strike was precise.In the statement delivered by the spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, it was stated that the operation took place in the northern Red Sea, off the Yanbu region, within the framework of implementing the decision to ban naval navigation on Saudi Arabia and consolidating the siege-for-siege equation.The statement indicated that with this targeting, the total number of ships targeted by the Yemeni forces has reached 8 Saudi oil ships since the start of the naval blockade on July 22, while the total number of Saudi oil ships prevented and forced to retreat and turn back in the Red and Arabian Seas has reached 29.The Yemeni Armed Forces explained that with their success in tightening the naval blockade from Bab Al-Mandeb in the southern Red Sea, the Saudi side has resorted to redirecting its oil ships towards the northern Red Sea.In this context, the Armed Forces affirmed the continuation and escalation of their operations to target Saudi oil ships in the northern Red Sea to close all passages in front of them and prevent them from crossing, vowing to consolidate the siege-for-siege equation regardless of the results and repercussions.
