The president of Aramco, the Saudi oil giant, revealed on Thursday sudden developments in the Saudi energy sector, on the eve of new Yemeni strikes deep inside Saudi Arabia, some of which focused on the most important oil ports.Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:Amin Al-Nasser, in his first statement, described the energy situation as being in its worst state, affirming that it will get worse because the disruption is large and not limited.Al-Nasser predicted what he described as a wide-scale supply crisis, which he said will increase pressures on markets.The statement is unique in its kind from an official of the world’s largest oil company, and it came after the coalition announced that Saudi Arabia was subjected to Yemeni attacks, one of which targeted Yanbu Port, the largest Saudi oil export port on the Red Sea.Saudi Arabia was preparing to resume exports through this port, which has become, since the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, a major export center for Saudi oil at a rate of 7 million barrels of oil per day.The timing of Al-Nasser’s statements confirms that the Kingdom has been subjected to a new blow that may leave it unable to resume operating the so-called (East-West) pipeline, which it wants as an alternative to Hormuz.
