The US Department of Defense and State hastened to speak about the Biden administration’s approval of a new arms shipment to Saudi Arabia, the largest and first of its kind since Joe Biden took office.

America relies on the new arms deal to change Saudi Arabia’s position regarding the agreement with Sana’a, especially after Biden’s statements saying that one of Saudi Arabia’s demands is protection from the Houthis. While considering classifying Ansar Allah as a “terrorist group” to block any new negotiations with Saudi Arabia, which may allow for greater progress in the future, especially in light of reports about preparations to begin implementing the UN roadmap, including humanitarian measures.
