The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip condemned the repeated attacks targeting medical personnel and health facilities, demanding an end to the ongoing assaults carried out by the occupation forces against healthcare workers.
The Ministry stated: “This afternoon, an Israeli drone targeted Kamal Adwan Hospital in the Gaza Strip with a bomb, injuring two hospital staff members, despite their presence in the designated safe zone.”
In a press release, the Ministry affirmed that the continued systematic attacks on health facilities and medical personnel endanger the lives of staff and patients and weaken the health system’s ability to provide life-saving services.
The Ministry called on the United Nations, international and humanitarian organizations, and relevant parties to take urgent measures to protect health facilities and their staff, stop these attacks, and end the ongoing violations against the health sector.
The latest statistics issued by the Government Media Office in Gaza showed that the occupation army destroyed 34 out of 38 hospitals in the Gaza Strip during the war of extermination, while only four hospitals continue to operate with limited capabilities despite being damaged, amid a severe shortage of medicines and medical equipment.
