Greece revealed on Thursday that Yemeni forces launched the largest attack on the most important Saudi oil port on the Red Sea.Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:Reuters news agency quoted Greek military sources as saying that the attack on Yanbu port was carried out with a swarm of drones and several ballistic missiles, indicating that it failed to intercept them.The sources stated that the Greek defenses, tasked with securing the oil port, were only able to fire three interceptor missiles, suggesting a delay in launching interceptor missiles given their mention of a swarm of drones that may exceed ten, as well as a number of ballistic missiles.The sources didn’t announce any successful interception.Although Sana’a hasn’t yet revealed the details of the new attack, observers consider it the largest since the start of Yemeni operations against Saudi Arabia on July 20.The targeting of the port comes days after the burning of a new oil tanker named “Amzan” near the port.Yanbu port is the largest oil export port on the Red Sea. Saudi Arabia recently used it to export about 7 million barrels per day, with an ambition to raise the quantity to 9 million barrels.The port is the most prominent Yemeni target since the decision to ban Saudi navigation in July, and it has been subjected to repeated attacks.
