Lebanese Health Minister Firas al-Abyad announced on Saturday that 1,640 people have been killed, including 104 children and 194 women, and 8,408 wounded, since the start of clashes between Israel and Hezbollah about a year ago.
Al-Abyad said at a press conference in the capital Beirut that the ministry has recorded since Friday 11 dead and 108 wounded.
He added that from October 8 to September 15, 610 people were killed, including 38 women and 17 children, in addition to 2,056 wounded.
From September 16 (two days before the radio bombings across Lebanon) to 27 September, 1,030 people were killed, including 156 women and 87 children, and 6,352 wounded, he said.
The minister revealed that the total numbers since the start of the events last October reached 1,640 dead, including 104 children and 194 women, and 8,408 wounded.
