Al-Murtada pointed out in statements that these American accusations have no relation whatsoever to the humanitarian situation in Yemen, considering that Washington “is not qualified to make accusations but rather should be held accountable as a criminal for human rights violations worldwide, especially in Gaza.”
A few days ago, the US Treasury Department announced the imposition of sanctions on the Prisoners Committee in Sana’a and its chairman, based on allegations of violations against coalition prisoners.
Earlier, Abdulqader Al-Murtada affirmed that “all our prisoners and detainees receive full protection and humanitarian care, with regular visits from the Red Cross,” indicating that “these entities are not in a position to make accusations and are immersed in the worst declared humanitarian crimes, including committing genocide in Palestine and the entire region,” in reference to U.S. entities.
Abdulqader Al-Murtada emphasized that “these accusations will not deter us from continuing our efforts in following up on the prisoners and detainees file and completing it through the UN and local mediations.”
